Rooster's Mass

Lamp dedicated to the Mass of the Rooster. A custom rooted in Cuba, it is also called the Christmas Vigil, Vespertina Mass of the Christmas Vigil (or of the shepherds or of the Chick). It is the popular denomination of the Catholic mass that is generally celebrated before midnight on Christmas Eve, in commemoration of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth.
